Inspiration Behind the Movie
Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1962, Spider-Man had long been considered for film adaptations. Director Sam Raimi aimed to stay true to the character’s emotional core and moral compass, drawing from Peter Parker’s comic book journey and themes of responsibility, sacrifice, and identity.
