Inspiration Behind the Movie
Writer-director Michael McCullers drew inspiration from real-life surrogacy stories and the growing trend of women delaying motherhood due to careers. The film was also a natural fit for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, capitalizing on their Saturday Night Live chemistry and witty banter.
